Approximately TIG Welding

Tungsten inert Gauze (TIG) welding is one type of arc welding. TIG welding is disparate than most arc-welding processes as the electrode is not consumed. TIG welding is considered to be extra difficile than other arc-welding processes for of the closer tolerances that are required.

Tungsten Electrode

TIG welding uses a tungsten electrode to plain the welding arc onto the grindstone lot. Tungsten has a too elevated melting aim and does not melt during welding.

Shielding Gas

TIG welding requires the handle of a shielding Gauze to push air elsewhere from the weld.

Push Method

The push method is best for positioning the electrode. The electrode is held at a 10- to 15-degree angle from vertical and pointed towards the direction of the weld.

Argon is most commonly used as a shielding Gauze for TIG welding

Filler Material

Since the electrode does not favor filler news analogous other arc-welding processes, a seperate welding rod or wire has to be used if filler material is needed to complete the weld.

TIG Welding Technique

The welder uses the electrode to create a small pool of molten metal and then pushes the metal forward with the electrode in a cyclic motion, adding filler material as needed.
